1973 Class Golden Jubilee Celebration Gallery
The 1973 Class of BMGS crowned the commissioning of the implemented campus-wide beautification project with their 50 years Golden Jubilee on the theme “Honouring The Past, Embracing The Present, and Anticipating The Future.”
Past, present, and future, we salute all those who make it their mission to “be the change” in the world. We are glad for the opportunity to better understand and appreciate the many contributions our forebears made in area of moral education and discipline. We recognize the importance of providing equal access to education, so young people from all backgrounds can become the innovators of tomorrow. “The past is a steppingstone, not a millstone.” ~ Robert Plant.
The present is not always perfect. Make the best of the opportunities you are offered today. If life offers you lemon, try to make lemon cake out of it. Do not stand by saying, because it is not perfect, or it is not how it is supposed to be, I am not doing anything with it. When tomorrow comes and today becomes yesterday, you will look back at yesterday with nostalgia and wish you could do it all over again. Choose a path and an ambition; focus on that path and pursue your ambition with zeal and enthusiasm. Do not stop thinking about tomorrow and be prepared today to grab whatever tomorrow brings. “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.” ~ Bill Keane
Anticipating the Future is based on the premise that people in work have things of value to offer young people, their teachers, and schools. Anticipating the Future makes the teacher the customer. It works on the assumption that there is no one better placed to understand, and respond to, the needs of pupils. It gives them choice over who they bring into the classroom, when they choose to do so and what sort of activities they decide to put on. “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” ~ John F. Kennedy
